How some teachers spend their holiday!

6 teachers from Highbury Grove are spending some of their half term break studying education in 2 other countries.

Ms White and Ms Sharif are visiting New York to look at 4 small schools that are achieving very high levels of academic performance, despite being in some of the most deprived areas, such as the Bronx. The visit has been arranged through the Future Leaders Programme

Mr Mallon, Ms Garrard, Ms Purkiss and Ms Jones are travelling to Trinidad with 6 other teachers from Islington. These teachers will also be studying schools to look at systems and consider if these could be replicated in Highbury Grove. A fuller report will be available after the half term break.
